Sedulitas, as approved by OHTA, offers the basic Occupational Hygiene Training module W201, as well as intermediate training W501 to W507 of core subjects regarding hazardous substances and noise, and optional subjects of asbestos, thermal and ergonomics essentials.
W501: MEASUREMENT OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES
All Occupational Hygiene personnel and all persons involved in the Health, Safety and/or Environmental Management of a company, as well as any interested parties are invited to attend.

The 5-Day W501 Training Course is a core module for the International Occupational Hygiene Certificate, and covers the following:
• Understanding techniques for assessing exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace.
• Understanding how exposure information can be used to assess risk.
In this course you will learn how to:
• describe the general approach to health risk assessment, including the role of atmospheric monitoring
• select appropriate equipment to measure specific airborne contaminants and devise a suitable sampling strategy
• present the results for health risk assessment purposes to comply with relevant legislation.
Certified OHTA courses presented by SEDULITAS are subject to the completion of a written examination, and on passing, OHTA will issue a certificate. The W501 course is a core module required along with other intermediate modules in achieving the International Certificate in Occupational Hygiene (ICertOH). The British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) is the awarding and examining body for the intermediate OHTA modules.
