What is G.Re.T.A
It is the new Geo-Resistivity meter developed by LSI Lastem in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano. It is the most effective and innovative solution for permanent geo-electrical monitoring of the condition of large sections of soil.

What does it measure
The modification over time of the soil’s resistivity profile, functional to the characteristics of the soil.
    Resistivity is a function of:
  • Soil water content
  • Porosity
  • Soil granulometry
  • Resistivity of fluids (i.e. pollutants)

The G.Re.T.A system makes it possible to track the evolution of soil water content, the possibility of a landslide trigger, the formation of fractures, cavities and voids as well as the triggering of pollutant contamination. All this is measured in real time, providing you with an early warning system if thresholds are crossed.
The G.Re.T.A system consists of 48 electrodes, which can be spaced 1, 2 and 3 meters apart. The system can either be connected directly to a power grid or when used in secluded areas, a solar panel can be used. A router is used for automatic data transmission, with remote control and programming via LSI LASTEM cloud software. With the aid of the remote-control programming, alarm management could be set up based on configurable thresholds.
